| The Miami Township Fire Department
provides fire and emergency services to the Township and to the Village of North Bend, as
well as providing the Village of Addyston with emergency medical services. The Fire
Department responds to all types of emergencies including: medical emergencies, fire,
hazardous materials and technical rescue. The Fire Department also provides
non-emergency services including: fire safety classes, CPR classes, home inspections, fire
extinguisher training, baby sitting classes and car seat inspections. The Township
also has Fire Inspectors who inspect facilities to ensure compliance with the Fire Code. The
Fire Department has four stations: Station 68 on Mt. Nebo Road, Station 69 (Fire
Headquarters) on East Miami River Road, Station 70 on Shady Lane and Station 108 on Taylor
Avenue in North Bend. Miami Township's fire equipment includes 4 Pumpers, 2 Life
Squads, 1 Medic Unit, 1 Command Unit, 1 Water Tanker, 1 Brush Unit, 1 Rescue Boat, 1
Mini-Pump/Foam Unit, 3 Staff Cars and 2 Jet Skies.
The Department operates with a combined full-time, part-time paid and volunteer staff,
with 3 stations having on-site around-the-clock staffing. Jim Hughes is Fire Chief,
