Maple Grove Cemetery on Valley Junction road is owned and operated by Miami Township, under the supervision of Ron Miller and crew.  Burial sites are available at the Cemetery and may be viewed and purchased at the site from the Cemetery Superintendent.  Miami Township has expanded the cemetery over the last few years by buying and developing approximately three and 1/2 acres.

1.   If any tree or shrub situated on any lot shall be deemed detrimental by the Board of Trustees, they shall have the right and it shall be their duty to have such trees or shrubs or such parts thereof as may be by them deemed dangerous, detrimental or inconvenient removed, provided the owner shall first have due notice if possible to locate the owner.

2.   All lots set with grass or sodded and not unnecessarily encumbered with shrubbery or otherwise shall be kept in clean order free of expense to the owner.

3.   All graves are to be level or reasonably so for easy mowing and sodded all over.

4.   The grading of all lots must be under the direction of the Superintendent and his employees.  No work or improvement of lots or graves will be permitted by any outside party.

5.   No benches, chairs, settees, headboards, wooden articles, ornamental objects or fences of any kind allowed on the grounds.

6.   Potted plants, permanent and artificial sprays, wreaths, etc. will be permitted only from November 1st to April 1st.  To aid in maintaining the beauty of the grounds from April 1st to November 1st each year, all artificial bouquets, potted plants, glass and pottery containers will be removed, except (all National and legal Holidays);  Mother’s Day,  Memorial Day, Father’s Day, the Fourth of  July 4 and Labor Day, the aforementioned will be allowed, but must be removed within one week (7 days) or the Cemetery Superintendent will remove them with the following exceptions; where flowers are placed in a vase on top of the foundation at the head and the wreath is placed on the monument in a manner to keep it from blowing off, permitting the grass to be cut without interfering with the workers mowing the grass.  Flowers will be removed when unsightly.

7.   Bottles, cans, boxes etc. are regarded as objectionable and shall not be permitted to remain if placed on a lot or grave but shall be removed and destroyed.

8.   The Board of Trustees disclaim any responsibility for the theft or disappearance of any flowers, baskets, wreaths, vases etc. and reserves the right to remove any natural or artificial flowers or other decorations when in the opinion of the Superintendent, it becomes desirable to do so.

9.   Trees within the Cemetery borders shall not be cut down or destroyed without consent of the Board of Trustees.
