The heat index is rising, and Rumpke is taking steps to protect our employees.

Throughout the summer, your collection may occur earlier than normal, as we adjust start times to help drivers finish routes before the hottest part of the day to ensure their safety.

Please make sure all trash and recycling is placed curbside the night before scheduled service to ensure timely collection.

Disposal Safety Reminders

Help protect our workers and first responders by following these guidelines:

Batteries shouldn’t be placed in curbside containers – ever! They easily ignite and explode when compacted in the truck.

Empty Propane Tanks should never go in the trash or recycling. Take empty tanks back to stores to be refilled.

Pool Chemicals are highly reactive, generate extreme temperatures and release toxic vapors if improperly handled or stored. Don’t place pool chemicals in the trash or recycling. Contact your solid waste district for disposal options.
