Protecting Our Youngest Passengers — Every Ride, Every Time
Keeping your child safe while traveling is one of the most important things you can do. At Miami Township Fire & EMS, we want to make sure families are informed and compliant with Ohio’s Child Passenger Safety Laws to help prevent injuries and save lives.
Medication Safety
Keeping medications secure is an important part of protecting your family and preventing misuse. Miami Township is offering free medication safety materials to help residents safely store and dispose of prescription medications. Pick up complimentary supplies at the Senior Center, including secure storage boxes and drug disposal pouches.
File of Life Kits
Be prepared for emergencies with a free File of Life kit. The File of Life helps first responders quickly access important medical information, including medications and emergency contacts, by storing it in a magnet pouch on your refrigerator. Kits are available at the Miami Township Senior Center during business hours while supplies last.

Stop the Bleed
The Miami Township Fire Department offers Stop the Bleed training throughout the year as part of our commitment to community safety and emergency preparedness.
Announcements for upcoming classes will be posted prior to and during the enrollment period. Classes are typically held during the day or evening and generally last one to three hours, depending on the number of participants.
CPR
Knowing what to do in an emergency can make all the difference. The Miami Township Fire Department is committed to helping our community stay safe by providing CPR certification and Hands-Only CPR education.
Our CPR certification program teaches participants the lifesaving skills needed to recognize cardiac arrest, perform CPR, and respond confidently during a medical emergency. Whether you're looking to meet workplace requirements or simply want to be prepared to help a family member, friend, or neighbor, learning CPR is a valuable skill.
We also offer education on Hands-Only CPR, a simple technique that anyone can use to help an adult experiencing sudden cardiac arrest. Hands-Only CPR involves calling 911 and pushing hard and fast in the center of the chest until help arrives. You don't need formal certification to make a difference—taking action can help save a life.
Be prepared. Be confident. Be a lifesaver.
Contact the Miami Township Fire Department to learn more about our CPR certification program and Hands-Only CPR training opportunities.
