Fire Department Community Risk Reduction

Miami Township Fire & EMS is reminding residents and businesses about its Community Risk Reduction services, designed to help prevent fires and improve safety throughout the community.
The program includes fire inspections, plan reviews, fire-code guidance and fire investigations. Commercial building plans are reviewed for important life-safety features, including fire alarms, sprinkler systems, exits and fire extinguishers.
The department also encourages residents and businesses to make sure their address numbers are clearly visible from the street. Reflective address signs are available in vertical and horizontal designs to help emergency crews locate properties more quickly, particularly at night or during poor weather.
